Health & Safety Tip of the Week!

The actor who played the main character in the movie Arthur was no doubt being facetious when he said this, but there is more than a grain of truth in what he said. Truth be told many of us, while driving, take notice of a police car in our mirrors or see one just up the road or at the intersection, and go into "instant safe mode" to make sure we are going the speed limit, obeying the traffic signs, etc.

Do you approach working safely in the same manner, i.e., being safe only when you think somebody (like the boss) is watching you? If so, that's the wrong approach! Working safely needs to be a habit, just like wearing your seatbelt or obeying the speed limit when you are driving.

We need not rely on the "cop in the mirror" to remind us of what is at stake...it should be automatic!

DRIVE SAFE - WORK SAFE - LIVE SAFE
