Pinal County Teacher of the Year for Arizona Small and Rural School Association

CASA GRANDE, AZ – Denise Linley is a sixth grade teacher at the Mary C. O’Brien Elementary School in Casa Grande. She provides a solid academic foundation in her classroom. In 2010, 100% of her students met or exceeded math and reading state standards. She has taught in the district for last 10 years.
The Arizona Rural Schools Teacher of the Year Program accepts nominations from all member schools districts and County Education Services Agencies. ARSA is a state affiliate to the National Rural Education Association and promotes quality education for all students in rural schools throughout the state.
At the Annual Rural Schools Conference in Flagstaff this September 22-24th all county winners will be recognized and a state winner will be announced. The state winner receives a $1000 and an all expense paid trip to the National Convention. It is an honor to recognize those individuals who make a difference in our rural schools.
