Office Max Awards Teacher Lynn Lujan “A Day Made Better”

Teachers are expected to meet extraordinary expectations in the classroom, yet they are not armed with the essential resources to succeed. Because of this, each year teachers spend an average of $1000 from their own pockets on essential supplies for their classrooms and students. Office Max aims to change that.
On October 4, through “A Day Made Better”, Office Max associates went into one thousand classrooms across the country to surprise each teacher with one thousand dollars each in much-needed school supplies. That’s one million dollars in school supplies to help make the teacher’s days a little better. It also helps give teachers what they need to help their students succeed.
Mary C. O’Brien Elementary School teacher, Lynn Lujan, was awarded “A Day Made Better” through Office Max. Mrs. Lujan is the ideal 1st grade teacher. She has a warm classroom environment in which students feel safe and encouraged to learn. Mrs. Lujan cares about her students, sets expectations, and is always positive. Her students build a solid academic foundation that will carry through their school career.
