• Works cooperatively with the County Elections Department in running school district elections (school district Governing Board elections, override elections, bond elections, recall elections, etc.)
• Acts as a point of contact for all school related elections.
• Appoints school district Governing Board members when a vacancy exists (example: Governing Board member resigns before term ends, no person running for a vacant seat in an election, etc.)
• Handles requests for special school district elections which are called by the voters.
